Where to buy Monero without KYC

A short, vetted list of non-custodial peer-to-peer venues, with live reachability, the escrow model, and the verified official link for each. We report status and known incidents; we don't rank or endorse, and we never touch your trade.

Don't need no-KYC? A few exchanges still sell Monero if you're fine showing ID: Kraken (US), KuCoin, MEXC, and Gate.io. That's the quickest way in. The catch is they keep a permanent record that you bought XMR, so withdraw to your own wallet right after. Everything below is for buying without that ID trail. Buying guide →

How escrow works here

Understand how your coins are protected mid-trade before you use any venue. Every venue on this list is non-custodial, meaning the platform never holds your funds:

  • Multisig + arbitrator — funds lock in a 2-of-3 wallet that neither party controls alone; a neutral arbitrator holds the third key and only acts on a dispute. (RetoSwap, XMRBazaar.)
  • Atomic swap — a cryptographic trade that either completes for both sides or refunds both, with no third party at all. (BasicSwap, eigenwallet.)

Deliberately left off: custodial venues that hold your funds mid-trade. One well-known no-KYC site (OpenMonero) is custodial and has lost user money in repeated breaches (2025 and 2026), so it isn't listed here.
