Your Monero lives on the blockchain, not on MyMonero's servers. MyMonero was just a convenient interface. What actually controls your coins is your 25-word seed phrase. As long as you have that written down, your funds are completely safe and you can restore them in any Monero wallet — MyMonero going offline doesn't touch them at all.
What you lose is access through MyMonero's app. So the task is simple: take your 25-word seed and import it into a wallet that's still maintained.
How to move your wallet
- Find your 25-word MyMonero seed (Settings → show seed, if you can still open the app, or your written backup).
- Install one of the wallets below and choose Restore from seed.

- Let it sync. Your balance and history reappear.

Why did MyMonero shut down?
MyMonero was a light wallet: instead of downloading the blockchain, it handed a scanning server your view key so the server could find your incoming payments for you. That model is convenient, but it's changing. Monero's upcoming FCMP++ upgrade reworks how outputs are found, and the old view-key-on-a-server approach was being wound down.
